Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore emotional and psychological difficulties in a way that is tailored to your individual needs, experiences and goals. Seeking therapy often takes courage, and recognising that you would like support can be an important first step towards meaningful change.

At our practice, individual therapy is collaborative, compassionate and evidence-based. Therapy is adapted to the person, drawing on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-informed work, emotional regulation and relational approaches, depending on what is most helpful for you.

The therapeutic relationship itself plays an important role in the work. Within a safe and non-judgemental space, patterns of thinking, feeling and relating can begin to emerge. What happens within therapy often reflects experiences in wider life, and together we can gently explore these patterns, develop understanding, and work towards change that feels manageable and meaningful.

Individual therapy can be helpful for a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety and worry
  • Low mood and depression
  • Stress and burnout
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Relationship and attachment difficulties
  • Loss and adjustment to life changes
  • Trauma-related experiences
  • Self-esteem and confidence difficulties

Sessions offer space to speak freely and openly, at your own pace. Together, we work to notice patterns, make connections, and develop strategies that support emotional wellbeing both within and outside of therapy. The process is guided and supportive, with care taken to ensure therapy feels safe, respectful and responsive to your needs.

Individual therapy is available in person in Wokingham, for those travelling from across Berkshire, as well as online, offering flexibility and accessibility.
